CPABC was pleased to participate in the Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) Annual General Meeting, joining approximately 250 citizens, leaders, Elders, youth, and community members from across the province.
The AGM provided an opportunity for CPABC to connect with Métis citizens and discuss the role that financial literacy and financial empowerment can play in supporting individual, family, and community well-being. Throughout the event, CPABC staff engaged with attendees about CPABC’s financial literacy resources, educational programming, career pathways in accounting and finance, and opportunities to build financial confidence and knowledge.
The gathering also marked an important milestone for MNBC as citizens welcomed their newly elected President, who was only recently sworn in. CPABC extends its congratulations to President Wingham and looks forward to strengthening relationships with MNBC and exploring opportunities to support the Nation's goals through financial education and capacity-building initiatives.
CPABC is grateful for the opportunity to participate in this important gathering and to learn from the discussions, priorities, and perspectives shared by Métis citizens and leaders from across British Columbia. We look forward to participating in next year’s annual gathering.
