Lori Mathison is President and CEO of CPABC, leading one of British Columbia’s largest professional regulatory organizations and helping safeguard the public interest through oversight of the CPA profession. As an FCPA and business lawyer, she brings extensive experience in governance, strategy, regulation, and professional services leadership.
Prior to joining CPABC, Lori served as Managing Partner of Dentons Canada LLP’s Vancouver office and practiced tax and corporate law for nearly 20 years as a partner in the firm’s Tax Law group.
Lori serves on the Board of Directors of BC Rapid Transit Corporation, the Strategic Advisory Board of the Counter Illicit Finance Alliance, the Board of the CPA Western School of Business, the Faculty Advisory Board of the UBC Sauder School of Business, and the Dean’s Advisory Committee for the UBC Centre for Business Law. She is also a Governor and Past Chair of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade.
Sandy Stedman is a retired Partner of Schibli Stedman King Chartered Professional Accountants. For more than 20 years, he authored and instructed tax courses for the CPABC Professional Development Program. Throughout his career, Sandy has served on numerous boards of not-for-profit organizations, including St. Michael’s University School, the Victoria Conservatory of Music, and Scouts Canada Greater Victoria Region. In addition to serving as Chair of the CPABC Board, he is a member of the Finance & Audit Committee of the Victoria Foundation.
