Volunteer to Prepare Tax Returns Community

Offer your assistance in preparing tax returns for the community.

Many of our members generously contribute their professional expertise by completing tax returns for Canadians at tax clinics organized by local community groups. This is a crucial service, and certified public accountants (CPAs) have a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact!

To register to volunteer visit the CRA Free Tax Clinic webpage. After registering with the CVITP, members who are not already licensed for public practice must apply for an exemption from licensing. The online process takes only a few minutes to complete: simply visit the CPABC Volunteer Tax Services page and follow the instructions at the bottom of the page. It is important to note that this licensing exemption application with CPABC is separate from registering to volunteer with the CVITP.
