Standing Ovation Event - Kamloops/Cariboo Chapter Event Recap

On November 23, 30 CPAs and their guests turned out to celebrate their peers at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Kamloops.

Hosted by CPABC and the Kamloops/Cariboo Chapter, this “Standing Ovation” event aimed to acknowledge the accomplishments of local CPAs who’d reached significant milestones in their careers or joined the profession within the past year.

Following welcome remarks, attendees watched a congratulatory video message from members of CPABC’s executive management committee. In their messages, the EMC members also thanked the Chapter volunteers and noted the importance of volunteering with the profession.

After the speeches, it was recognition time! Members who’d attained significant membership anniversaries in 2023—including three members who celebrated 25 years of membership and two members who celebrated 60 years of membership—were presented with a token of appreciation for their dedication to the profession. Additionally, nine members who’d received their designations within the past year were recognized and welcomed by their peers.

The event concluded with a networking reception that gave attendees the chance to make new connections, reconnect with old acquaintances. Attendees enjoyed delicious appetizers and drinks throughout the evening, and some lucky winners left with prizes.
