Honorary CPA


Eligibility Criteria

  • Demonstrates outstanding service to the profession, above and beyond the expectations of the role in which they served and/or in a volunteer role (not paid, but honorariums are acceptable).
  • Nominee’s background must be such that honorary membership will bring credit to the profession. 
  • Has made a significant contribution to the British Columbia or Canadian CPA organization and, except in extraordinary circumstances, has provided leadership in at least one of these areas:
    • In their professional role/career;
    • In service (civic, community, political, business, professional or charitable organizations);
    • In research, teaching, writing, or speaking.

Selection Criteria

Criteria are similar to those for the Fellowship or Lifetime Achievement Award. The nominee must be nominated by more than one member of CPABC. 

Other

  • Where possible, nominators should not have family ties to the nominee. Letters of support from family ties are welcomed.
