Kai Bauman, MPAcc, CPA, CA, Chair, CPA Education Foundation

I am honoured to serve as Chair of the CPAEF. Our Board is made up of dedicated professionals who bring their experience, expertise, and passion to advancing accounting education in BC and providing financial support to students pursuing their CPA designation.

We recognize the challenges many CPA candidates face as they balance their studies with work and family commitments. Our goal is to help students reach the “finish line” – the CPA designation. Through awards supporting post-secondary accounting students across BC and at the CPA Western School of Business, the Foundation has distributed more than $1 million over the past 10 years and recognizes that the need for support has grown.

As artificial intelligence continues to transform the business landscape, supporting the next generation of accounting professionals is more important than ever. CPAEF is proud to invest in students throughout their academic journey and help strengthen the future of the profession.

The Foundation also supports accounting educators through professional development opportunities, career advancement initiatives, and research grants. As an academic, I have seen firsthand the value these programs bring to faculty and the broader accounting community.
