Membership updates:
- Your CPA designation continues to be maintained through CPA Yukon. CPA Canada membership is now optional as the Collaboration Accord officially concluded on March 31, 2026.
- Legacy designations (CA, CGA, CMA) can now be displayed simply as CPA
- Launch of an improved Firm and Member Directory.

Supporting Candidates and Celebrating Success
We’ve also expanded resources and celebrated major milestones for Yukon CPA candidates. Behind every designation is a story of dedication, and we’re proud to support that journey every step of the way.
What’s new:
- Launched a dedicated bi-monthly Candidate Newsletter with updates, career. resources, and key dates and information. First issue was sent in March 2025.
Celebrating achievement:
- Four Yukon candidates successfully passed the CFE this year.
Connecting with Future CPAs
At the same time, we’re investing in the future of the profession, by continuing to grow awareness of the CPA profession across Yukon and building meaningful connections with students, educators, and community partners. We’re helping build a more diverse, inclusive, and connected future for the profession in the North. This past year’s outreach included:
- Hosted a virtual CPA information session with Yukon University students.
- Participated in the First Nation Education Conference in Whitehorse.
- Strengthened relationships with the First Nations School Board, Yukon educators, and local partners.
The Future of CPA Certification
We’re preparing for the next evolution of the CPA designation. The new program ensures future CPAs are equipped for a rapidly changing profession, while maintaining the high standards the designation is known for.
Coming in 2027:
- A redesigned CPA Professional Program.
- Modernized learning aligned with evolving business and technology demands.
