UNBC: CPAEF Award Recipients Announced

The University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) has awarded three CPA Education Foundation Awards (CPAEF) to the following students for the 2019/2020 academic year:
- Trevor Como – a student in the fourth year of the accounting program, he is preparing to graduate in 2021 and intends to pursue the CPA designation. Said Trevor, “my passion for accounting motivates me to work hard and always try my best”;
- Sheridan MacArthur – in the final year of studies at UNBC and about to graduate with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in accounting and marketing. Sheridan has been involved in the JDC West Case competition.
- Ella Thomason – a student in the fourth year of accounting, preparing to graduate in 2021 and to pursue the CPA designation. Ella said, “… one day I can give back and help others like [the CPAEF] has helped me.”

CPAEF Bursary Deadline - November 15, 2021
The CPA Education Foundation (CPAEF) offers bursaries to students taking preparatory courses or enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP). Students taking preparatory courses can apply for a bursary if they have completed and passed at least two courses offered by the CPA Western School of Business (CPAWSB) in the preceding year. CPA PEP students can apply for a bursary if they are registered in CPAWSB or the MPAcc. program at the University of Saskatchewan.
