Surrey/Langley/North Delta Chapter - Sip Back and Relax: A Post-Tax Celebration Event Recap

On May 1, 2025, the CPABC Surrey/Langley/North Delta Chapter welcomed members and guests at the beautiful Fraser Valley Cider Farm for a well-deserved evening of celebration and relaxation. “Sip Back and Relax: A Post-Tax Celebration” was all about taking a breather after tax season, and the event delivered just that—with refreshing drinks, good food, great company, and a few fun surprises along the way.
Set against the scenic backdrop of the Fraser Valley orchards, the evening kicked off with a complimentary drink, and guests had access to a cash bar featuring a wide selection of Fraser Valley’s small-batch ciders—from crisp and dry to fruity and sparkling. Each sip was a celebration in itself.
Adding a special touch to the night, the team at Fraser Valley Cider Company gave us a behind-the-scenes look at their cider-making process. Attendees learned about everything from the types of apples used to the fermentation and aging process that gives each cider its unique character. It was a fun and informative way to deepen our appreciation for the craft—and sparked plenty of conversation (and taste testing!).
The evening also featured a bingo game that had everyone engaged in. People were mingling, laughing, and maybe even shouting “BINGO!” a little louder than expected. Winner walked away with a fun prize, but the real reward was the infectious energy and camaraderie it brought to the room.
Another highlight of the night was the door prize draw, which brought a burst of excitement to all. Whether or not your number was called, the energy in the room stayed upbeat and full of smiles.
Overall, the event was a refreshing reminder of the importance of community and celebration. It offered everyone a chance to decompress, reconnect, and toast to making it through another successful tax season. The SLND Chapter extends heartfelt thanks to all who attended, to the team at Fraser Valley Cider Company for their hospitality and cider wisdom, and to the volunteers and organizers who made the event possible.
We look forward to hosting more events like this in the future—whether you’re looking to network, volunteer, or just have a good time, there’s always room for you at the next chapter gathering.
Until next time, cheers to good cider, good people, and good times ahead!
