Pacific Northwest Chapter Local Human Resources for CPAs Series Northwest BC is the Place to Be
July 4th, 2025, was the Pacific Northwest Chapter’s first HR luncheon in a series of three. It was held at the White Spot in Terrace, BC, with a total of twelve CPA members and Chapter volunteers in attendance. The CPA Bingo card was used for a round table discussion, each person was asked to introduce themselves and chose one of the descriptions on the card that represented them, this provided for interesting discussions and some funny stories.
Shruti Koshy, Director of Human Resources for the Haisla Nation, led the group in an informal discussion about change management. There were many excellent questions and answers, which provided some good takeaways for people to think about.
Roanna McCormack, CPA, CGA recently appointed Chapter Treasurer, thanked the members for coming out to the luncheon and actively engaging with the chapter. The next stop will be in Smithers in August followed by Prince Rupert in September, with different Human Resource people leading discussions in each location.
