B.C. Employer Training Grant program (ETG) supports skills training to address provincial labour market needs. An employer applies on behalf of their employee(s) for eligible training costs. CPA Education Foundation (CPAEF) offers scholarships and bursaries to students enrolled in CPA Preparatory Courses and the CPA Professional Education Program. Amounts awarded range from $500-$3000 each.

Employers often offer financial assistance to students and candidates enrolled in CPA Preparatory Courses and CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP). The CPA program has a work experience component included in the program.

Internationally trained accountants who wish to acquire their Canadian credential may apply for low-interest education loans in the amount of $1,000-$30,000 through the Foreign Credential Recognition (FCR) Program. FCR Loans and similar low interest loan programs available to newcomers are available for application through your local BC Settlement Agency.
