Why CPA?

A CPA designation opens doors. It’s a globally recognized credential that helps you build a flexible career in business, finance, or wherever you want to go.

With a CPA, you can:

  • Work in any industry (tech, finance, healthcare, government, startups)
  • Move into roles like analyst, managers, or leadership
  • Earn strong salaries and have long-term career stability
  • Be recession proof
  • Build real skills in problem-solving, strategy, and communication

Bottom line: the CPA designation isn’t just about numbers, CPAs drive decision making.

What the Current CPA Journey Looks Like

The CPA program is designed so you can work while you study. You’re earning income and building experience at the same time. It is a graduate-level program that builds technical and leadership skills. Most people finish in about 2.5 years and move into more senior roles such as management once designated.

You’ll complete three key parts:

  • Education (CPA PEP): Six modules (core, electives, and capstones) that focus on real-world business skills
  • Examination (CFE): A three-day exam that tests your ability to solve complex business problems
  • Experience (30 months): Paid, relevant experience in accounting or finance

This “earn-while-you-learn” model is one of the biggest advantages of the CPA path. Check out other advantages here.
