Volunteer Continuum – Different Skill Sets

As a CPA, you possess the financial expertise and leadership skills that organizations need to be successful. As a volunteer, roles with working boards or governance boards will require different skill sets. Working boards usually require the volunteer to apply their skills to help the organization whereas governance boards develop policies that help guide the organization. Regardless, the common skill sets are your competencies as a CPA. As a volunteer, you bring a lot of training and experience that can benefit the organization.
