Tracking and Reporting Continuing Professional Development

Reporting Continuing Professional Development (CPD) should not be an end of year or January affair. With the revisions to International Education Standard 8 (IES 8) and CPABC’s adoption of the standard in accordance with our commitment to meeting international standards, it is important to track all CPD hours throughout the year. This ensures that you are aware of how many remaining hours are required to be completed before the end of the year, as well as to be able to review the need for specific CPD hours in certain areas. This tracking of CPD hours can easily be accomplished using the CPABC CPD reporting system found here, which is the same tool that is eventually used to submit the annual CPD report. Instead of having to input all CPD hours at the end of the reporting period, CPABC suggests you update CPD hours periodically to ensure you can plan your remaining requirements accordingly.
