Eligibility Criteria

  • Be a member in good standing.
  • Demonstrates significant achievements as outlined in the selection criteria.
  • Is not a recipient of equivalent legacy award(s) or a board member of CPABC
  • Is not compensated/paid for the activity being recognized or employed by the profession for recognition of service to the profession.
  • Not unsuccessfully nominated for this award three or more times in the past seven years.

How to Nominate

Selection Criteria

Nominees must be a CPA who are enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers with the profession and/or with one or more not-for-profit or charitable organizations. Their contributions should include:

  • Significant and meaningful contributions as a volunteer
    • within community, charitable or other not-for-profit organizations, or
    • as a leader on a board, chapter, committee or initiative that furthered the CPA profession;
  • Known for openness honesty, integrity, professionalism, and providing leadership; Makes significant contributions in activities or events as a member, honorary chair, organizer, etc.;
  • High quality of work accomplished for, and a strong commitment to, the organizations;
  • Plays a key role in improving the organization’s models and practices and implementing new initiatives;
  • Achieves objectives that will have a strong positive impact for the organization.
  • Other
    • The nomination must be supported by more than one member of CPABC.
    • Where the nomination is community, not-for-profit or charity-based, non-members may propose the candidate.
