Jamal guided development of Canada’s first graduate accounting programs integrating data analytics and AI, including the KPMG Graduate Programs in Accounting and Data Analytics; since 2019, these programs have produced nearly 300 graduates and influenced accounting education nationally and internationally.
He contributed to the integration of climate change and ESG considerations into professional practice through service on CPA Canada’s Sustainability Advisory Board.
Jamal provided leadership through program development, curriculum advisory roles, and mentorship of faculty and graduate students, reinforcing the connection between accounting education, research, and professional practice and strengthening the CPA designation.
