Early Achievement

We celebrate CPAs early in their careers who are shining stars and bring pride to the profession. These role models stand out through their professional achievements, leadership, raising the profession’s visibility, and/or community service.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be a member in good standing.
  • Has had their Canadian CPA for up to 10 years (including up to one year past their 10th anniversary).
  • Demonstrates significant achievements as outlined in the selection criteria.
  • Not eligible if they’ve received equivalent legacy award(s) or are employed by CPABC.
  • Not unsuccessfully nominated for this award three or more times in the past seven years.

Selection Criteria

Based on post-designation experience, nominees should excel in one or more of these areas:
 

  • Demonstrate financial expertise, leadership, strategic thinking, and business insight that contribute to achieving their organization’s objectives.
  • Demonstrate the impact of their achievements on their organization  and/or their clients.
  • Highlight originality and innovation of nominee.
  • Demonstrate dynamism and determination in achieving goals or fulfilling responsibilities.
  • Describe significant responsibilities and leadership held throughout their career.
  • Connect achievements to future career development.
  • Demonstrate how their achievements increase the visibility of the CPA profession.
  • Highlight that they identify as CPAs and are recognized as such.
  • Describe their significant involvement in the community, including sustained contributions, impactful accomplishments, and dedicated service, especially as a volunteer with community or charitable organizations, other non-profits, or professional groups.
  • The nomination must be supported by more than one member of CPABC.
