J. Peter Ranson, FCPA, FCA

Peter is a recognized subject matter expert on First Nations taxation services and served as a tax partner and national leader of the aboriginal client services practice at KPMG. Throughout his career, he has been a lecturer, instructor, and panelist on matters of First Nations finance, including tax structures for land claims and developing business governance models.

The beauty of volunteerism is that there are so many ways to contribute. I participate in work-related organizations such as the Government Finance Officers Association as I strongly believe the open sharing of information and experiences is the backbone of the local government experience; it strengthens the quality of service our communities ultimately receive from their financial leaders.
