Do you wish to share your financial expertise to help Canadians make more informed financial decisions?
All CPA members can volunteer with the CPA Financial Literacy Program and bring free, unbiased, functional, and clear financial literacy information to communities throughout BC and Yukon. Join this growing group of volunteers if you’re a CPA member with a passion for using your knowledge to make a positive difference. Your volunteering hours may be eligible for free CPD credits.

If you’ve said yes to any of the above questions, you should consider signing up to be a volunteer!
Requirements
- CPA designation required and in good standing. Active and retired members welcome.
- Good understanding of basic business concepts and financial management.
- Comfortable speaking in front of a group.
- Able to volunteer alone or co-facilitate with a volunteer partner.
Responsibility
- Choose the sessions you want to deliver and become familiar with the content.
- Deliver at least one presentation within a one-year volunteering commitment.
- Share your knowledge with communities in a way that is easy to understand.
- Commute to presentation locations or deliver sessions via online webinar.
Support
- Prepared session materials, resources, and presentation slide decks.
- Online and in-person training sessions to prepare materials and enhance your presentation skills.
- Matching services to ensure opportunities align with your preferences.
- Support from staff to help you navigate the system and logistics.
Each of the 40 sessions are designed to provide basic concepts and skills to the audience through presentations, interactive activities, and/or case studies. View the 10 audience groups and session details below.
