Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) has awarded the 2020 CPABC Surrey/Langley/North Delta Chapter Scholarship to Swati Bassi. This scholarship is awarded to a third or fourth fourth year student in the Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting program who has the intent to become a Chartered Professional Accountant after graduation. The recipient must demonstrated community involvement and attain a high GPA.
In addition, Premajanany Premathasan and Wajeeha Rahman received the CPA Education Foundation (CPAEF) Awards. These scholarships are for students enrolled in either the Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting or Entrepreneurial Leadership programs who have the intent to become Chartered Professional Accountants after graduation. Preference is given to students who have also demonstrated volunteerism or community involvement.
The chapter and foundation are delighted to support local students. Said David Chiang CPA CA, CPABC’s vice-president member advice and programs, “congratulations to these students on their academic success and, on behalf of chapter members, I wish them well as they continue on their journey to become CPAs.”
