The CPABC Burnaby/New Westminster Chapter hosted its Mentor-Mentee Mingle at the Burnaby Public Library’s Bob Prittie Metrotown Branch, welcoming 34 attendees for an evening of networking and professional growth. The event connected accounting students with experienced CPAs, offering students valuable mentorship opportunities. The mingle was designed to both jump-start professional journeys and encourage experienced CPAs to give back to the next generation. Students had the opportunity to build valuable connections and seek guidance from seasoned professionals, while mentors shared their expertise and insights to support future CPAs on their path to designation.

A key highlight of the evening was an engaging and informative presentation by Katja Lang, Employer Relations Officer at CPABC. Katja offered a comprehensive overview of the CPABC Mentorship Program, outlining the structured pathway to success, expectations for both mentors and mentees, and practical tips for building strong, mutually beneficial relationships. The Chapter extends its sincere thanks to all attendees, speakers, and volunteers who contributed to the success of this event. We look forward to continuing to create opportunities that cultivate meaningful professional relationships and support the growth of our community.
