CPABC “Ask a CPA” Event - April 23, 2020

On April 23, 2020, CPABC hosted the first live online event for high school students: Ask a CPA. During the event students listened to real-life CPA, Christine Bhatt, and learned about what accountants do and where they work. Students were then given an opportunity to ask their own questions about a career in accounting.

Christine Bhatt is a driven business professional currently working as the lead accountant of a Vancouver based FinTech Company. Diverting from her original career goal of becoming a Psychologist she earned the Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation in 2017. She subsequently took the International Qualification Examination to obtain the U.S. Certified Public Accountant designation to support her interest in cross-border taxation. With a career that has branched across the private, public, and government sectors she looks forward to where else her profession will take her.
