2019 CPABC COIN Competition
Celebrating the Top 20 Students
On May 25, CPABC hosted its third annual CPABC COIN Competition, inviting high school students from across the province to demonstrate their accounting acumen on a 66-question multiple-choice and short answer exam focused on introductory accounting and business concepts.

A total of 123 students from 39 high schools across BC took part in this year’s competition, and the top 20 students were subsequently invited to attend an awards ceremony in Vancouver on June 8. During the event, the students and their guests were given a chance to hear Manisha Kalsi, CPA, CGA, manager at Quantum Advisory Partners LLP, speak about her path to the CPA designation.
Judith Watson, FCPA, FCMA, vice-chair of the CPA Education Foundation (CPAEF), then presented certificates and cash prize awards to the top 20 students. Below are the top 20 students listed in order of their performance on the exam:
