CPA Qualifying Courses for Knowledge Assessment Exemption @Model.Properties.TitleType>
The new CPA Professional Program launches in May 2027. To be eligible for the CPA Professional Program, applicants must meet the academic and non-academic requirements outlined on CPA Western School of Business (CPAWSB) Admission Requirements. This includes demonstrating accounting and business knowledge by passing the Knowledge Assessment (KA), unless the applicant qualifies for an exemption based on relevant accounting and business coursework.
If an applicant completes all of the courses listed on the Academic Prerequisites Guide for CPA PEP by December 31, 2028, they will be exempt from the Knowledge Assessment in the new CPA Professional Program.
The qualifying courses outlined by post-secondary institution below identify the accounting and business course equivalents that may be used to meet the Knowledge Assessment (KA) exemption criteria for admission to the CPA Professional Program. Applicants do not need to complete all courses at the same post-secondary institution. If your post-secondary institution is not listed, you may still be eligible for exemption from the Knowledge Assessment. If you have any questions, please email cpaprogram@cpawsb.ca.
