CPA BC Education Foundation
The Chartered Professional Accountants’ Education Foundation of British Columbia (CPAEF) offers scholarships and/or bursaries to members and students in the following categories.
Students enrolled in the CPA Preparatory Courses and CPA PEP:
The CPAEF offers bursaries to students enrolled in CPA Preparatory Courses and CPA PEP based on financial need. For Preparatory Courses, applicants must have passed at least two CPAWSB courses in the previous year. CPA PEP students are eligible once registered in CPAWSB Core Module 1 or the MPAcc. program at the University of Saskatchewan. Additionally, named bursaries are available for students facing financial challenges, needing computer equipment, or being single parents or recent immigrants. Learn more about these awards.
CPA Members accepted into MBA programs:
CPABC members in financial need accepted into a recognized MBA program with an intent to teach can apply for a bursary worth up to $2,500. The application requires a transcript, acceptance letter, academic reference, and cover letter detailing the need for assistance. Learn more about this award.
Doctoral Support Program:
The Doctoral Support Program aids CPABC members pursuing doctoral studies in accounting, assurance, or taxation for teaching and research careers. It offers loans of up to $10,000 annually for up to four years, potentially forgivable if the candidate earns their doctorate within five years and teaches at a BC university immediately after completion.
