Tsal’alh Career Fair 2025

CPABC Financial Literacy volunteer Carter Wilson, CPA

The Tsal’alh Career Fair 2025 brought together students, job seekers, and community members for two days of career exploration, networking, and learning. The event served as a valuable platform for sharing knowledge, building connections, and supporting Tsal’alh youth and community members in their career journeys.

CPABC was proud to participate in this meaningful event through two key initiatives:

Financial Literacy Sessions

Tsal’alh Career Fair 2025 - FinLit

Two engaging financial literacy workshops were facilitated by CPA Financial Literacy Volunteer, Carter Wilson offering attendees practical tools and insights on managing personal finances, budgeting, and planning for the future. The sessions, Managing Your Money and Money Basics for Indigenous Youth were well-received and sparked thoughtful discussions among participants.

Career Fair

CPABC also hosted a booth at the career fair, providing information about the CPA designation, career pathways in accounting, and resources for students and aspiring professionals within the Tsal’alh and St’át’imc communities. Attendees had the opportunity to speak directly with CPA representatives, ask questions, and explore how a career in accounting could align with their career aspirations.

The event was a great success, with strong community engagement and positive feedback from participants. CPABC’s presence helped raise awareness about financial literacy and the opportunities available through the CPA designation, particularly among Indigenous youth.

Thank you to CPABC Financial Literacy volunteer, Carter Wilson, CPA, for being an outstanding facilitator, and the Tsal’alh community and St’át’imc people for inviting us into their magnificent and beautiful territory.
