Recap: Kamloopa Powwow 2024

CPABC participated as a vendor for the Kamloopa Powwow 2024.  This event was a vibrant celebration of Indigenous culture, bringing together thousands of participants and spectators in Kamloops, British Columbia. As one of the largest powwows in Western Canada, this annual event serves as a gathering of tradition, music, dance, and community connection, showcasing the richness of Indigenous heritage.

CPABC had an exhibitor booth at the event where staff interacted with numerous community members and organizations, providing information about career opportunities in accounting and promoting educational resources. 

The powwow featured captivating performances from dancers and drummers representing many nations. Competitors showcased their skills in dance categories like Fancy Dance, Jingle Dress, and Grass Dance, each with its own history and style.
