CPABC had the pleasure of attending the 2024 Indigenous Partnerships Success Showcase (IPSS), held at the Vancouver Convention Centre from June 5-6.  IPSS is an annual event that celebrates the successful relationships between the Indigenous business sector and corporate Canada. The event underscored the theme of "Reconciliation in Action," focusing on practical ways to advance reconciliation through partnerships and equity ownership.

CPABC served as a sponsor and exhibitor at IPSS 2024, highlighting the organization’s dedication to supporting and empowering Indigenous communities through education and professional development.

Throughout the event, staff at CPABC’s exhibition booth engaged, networked,  and established positive connections with conference attendees. This included connecting with local Indigenous communities and businesses, youth, students, and recent graduates, fostering relationships and encouraging participation in the accounting profession. CPABC members in attendance provided positive feedback on the organization’s engagement with Indigenous communities.

IPSS 2024 attracted over 1,200 guests, including 70 vendors and a significant number of invitees from local Indigenous communities. The event also reached 38,000 people through digital communications, including followers, subscribers, and website visitors.
