
CPABC provides members, candidates, students, and the public with a wide range of services and initiatives that focus on protecting the public, regulatory compliance, education and learning, networking, recruitment, and volunteerism.
To understand the positive impact of these services and initiatives over the past decade, here’s a quick look at the numbers.
Since 2015:
The number of members has increased by over 10,000, bringing the total to 40,000+.
The number of licensed practitioners has increased by over 1,400, bringing the total to 4,700+.
22,000+ member and public inquiries have been handled by CPABC’s member advisory services team.
15,000+ attendees have participated in meetings held by CPABC’s various member forums.
36,000+ jobs have been posted to CPABC’s Careers Site.
The number of registrations for CPABC PD Program courses—over half of which were for free offerings—has surpassed 608,000.
71,000+ attendees have participated in events hosted by CPABC’s regional chapters.
209 honourees have been recognized through CPABC’s Member Recognition Program.
The number of individuals following CPABC on its various social media platforms has grown to 51,000+.
~115,000 individuals have attended CPABC’s recruitment events.
65,000+ British Columbians have attended CPABC’s free financial literacy sessions.
282 members have self-declared as Indigenous. Additionally, 70 Indigenous candidates are now enrolled in CPA PEP.
$267,000+ has been provided to CPA members who have applied for short-term financial assistance through CPABC’s Benevolent Fund.
$1,000,000+ has been provided to students by the CPA Education Foundation of BC (CPAEF) in the form of educational awards, bursaries, and scholarships. The CPAEF has also distributed almost $240,000 to accounting educators through PD Passports and $220,000 to doctoral candidates and programs.
