Sixteen CPABC regional chapters provide CPA members, students, and candidates with local networking, social, and professional development opportunities.
The CPABC chapters support a local presence for the profession while connecting and engaging with members and students throughout the province. These chapters offer a broad range of activities in their local communities.
To find out more about your local chapter, including upcoming events, please visit your CPABC chapter blog.
All members, students, and candidates are encouraged to participate in their local chapters. And even though you have one home chapter, please remember that if an event at another chapter catches your eye, you may register to attend it, as virtually every chapter event is open to all members, students, and candidates.
If you have any questions about which centres fall within which chapter, please consult the chapter listings of cities and towns.
Q. How can I get involved with my chapter?
If you are interested in volunteering for any committees formed by your chapter, please fill out the online volunteer form and submit it to your chapter chair. The chapter will contact you regarding volunteer opportunities.
Q. How can I stay informed about events in my area?
Each CPABC chapter has a blog that contains the latest news and details on upcoming social networking events and professional development opportunities hosted by the chapter.
The chapters send regular emails promoting upcoming events. Make sure your current email address is updated. If you unsubscribed from a legacy chapter’s email list, you will need to re-subscribe.
Q. I recently moved, and my current chapter isn’t correct. What should I do?
Please update your profile information.
Q. I live in one chapter’s region but work in another. Can I receive information from both chapters?
The chapter distribution lists are based on the member’s business mailing address but can be changed by the member by updating their profile on the bccpa.ca website. This means you can make any chapter your chapter, but you cannot belong to more than one chapter. However, members are welcome to attend events hosted by other chapters – check their website, or subscribe to the RSS feed of their blogs to stay informed on upcoming events.
