In order to resolve a disciplinary proceeding before a Panel of CPABC’s Disciplinary Committee concerning professional misconduct alleged against them, a Member has agreed to hire a practice advisor, pay a fine of $1,000.00 and pay $2,000.00 towards CPABC’s costs of the disciplinary proceedings.
The professional misconduct alleged against the Member includes several breaches of the CPABC Code of Professional Conduct and CPABC Bylaws, including: failing to comply with the terms of a recommendation after having accepted a determination and recommendation (“D&R”) agreement; failing to comply with correspondence from CPABC directing them to pay the amounts owing under the D&R; failing to sign and return the payment plan form in order to satisfy their obligation to pay the amount required under the D&R; and on several occasions failing to make any response to correspondence and communications from CPABC.
The Member has admitted to the above allegations that CPABC has made against them.
