In order to resolve a disciplinary proceeding before a Panel of CPABC’s Disciplinary Committee concerning professional misconduct alleged against a CPA Candidate, the Candidate has agreed to the voluntary suspension of their enrollment as a student of the Organization of Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia (“CPABC”) for a period of 18 months, between April 1, 2022 and September 30, 2023.
The Candidate irrevocably admitted to breaching several provisions of the CPABC Code of Professional Conduct, by surreptitiously accessing assignments of other CPA students as well as certain CPA solution guides, and purporting to submit numerous assignments containing plagiarized content as their own work in the CPA Professional Education Program (“CPA PEP”).
During the 18 month period of the voluntary suspension of their enrollment as a student of CPABC, they will also be suspended as a candidate in the CPA PEP, and ineligible to register for any modules in the CPA PEP or the Common Final Examination.
