The Chartered Professional Accountants’ Education Foundation of British Columbia (CPAEF) offers scholarships and/or bursaries to students attending accredited post-secondary institutions (university or college) in British Columbia.

CPAEF has worked closely with post-secondary institutions across the province to offer awards to accounting students in recognition of their academic achievements. Students can apply for these scholarships and bursaries by contacting their school’s registrar and/or financial aid office. Award recipients are selected by the post-secondary institution based on the eligibility requirements of the specific awards.

Application deadline: May 1
The CPAEF also awards scholarships to students who demonstrate achievement in accounting at the following post-secondary institutions that do not have named scholarships or bursaries. Students must be in their final year of their diploma or degree program and intend to register for the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP). Successful applicants will receive their award upon registering with the CPA Western School of Business.

CPAEF offers bursaries of up to $3,000 per year for accounting students who have financial need and who are attending a BC post-secondary institution in their first through fourth years. These awards are based on community involvement, personal circumstances, and financial need.

This sponsored award is open to BC students that identify as Indigenous and are in their 3rd or 4th year of a BBA or BCom program with an accounting concentration or that are enrolled in a diploma program in accounting. This award is open to all Indigenous students enrolled at an accredited post-secondary institution that are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, protected persons, or students with study permits. Applicants must have completed at least one Intermediate Financial Accounting course, demonstrate financial need, and demonstrate satisfactory academic achievement. Please ensure that your application specifies the name of the award you are applying for.
