Vancouver Chapter Community Event - UBC Farm Tour and Volunteering

Join the CPABC Vancouver Chapter to volunteer with fellow members, students, and candidates at UBC Farm.

UBC Farm is a teaching/research center and local-to-global food hub working towards a more sustainable food secure future.

The volunteer work will depend on the organization’s needs that day, but may include light farm work such as weeding, trimming, organizing farm tools, and other miscellaneous support.

All CPA members, candidates, and students are encouraged to register and help your local community. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.

Time: Registration: 9:15am – 9:30am Event: 9:30am – 12:30pm

Location: UBC Farm, 3461 Ross Drive, Vancouver, BC V6T 1W5

Cost: Free

You will see a driveway in between a community garden and some townhomes)

There will be a market that day. Please gather by the large white tent at the back of the Harvest hut (it is the building directly to your right-hand side when you enter the farm gate). There will be people to direct you.

What to wear/bring:

For clothing, please wear gardening work clothes, shoes per weather condition, and gardening gloves if you have them. Depending on weather, sun hat is recommended. Also, bring a water bottle.

Parking/Transit Information:

Parking is limited in the area.

There are some paid parking spots right outside the farm gate; however, they fill up quickly, especially on market days.

There is paid parking on campus within walking distance on the farm.

There are some nearby bus stops (approx. 10 mins walk to the farm).
