Richmond/South Delta Chapter - Friendly Connector for Mentees and Mentors
The Richmond South Delta Chapter starting the new year by hosting a Mentee and Mentor Connector event at Country Meadows Golf Course.
Katja Lang from CPABC shared stats on how effective mentorship is to career growth, and requirements to completing your designation. She also helped with answering questions around PERT reporting.
Peter Guo CPA, CA, and Vice Chair of the CPABC Board shared his CPA journey, why he mentors and the importance of mentorship.
The Chapter invited all the mentors in attendance to share a little bit about them with representation from public practice, industry and government. The candidates had a wide array of experience to choose from. After the introductions, candidates had the opportunity to choose from the mentors and jump start their mentorship relationship using the rest of the event to discuss how mentors can help the candidates with their CPA journey.
