Holiday Social Event Recap - Virtual Chocolate Tasting
On December 8, 2021, the CPABC Richmond/South Delta Chapter hosted a Virtual Chocolate Tasting Event to celebrate the season with fellow members, candidates and students.
Geoseph Domenichiello, chocolate sommelier from Bean to Bar World, guided attendees through a chocolate tasting workshop that started with a discussion of the varieties of chocolate and cacao, the main steps of the chocolate production process, and the history of chocolate and how it evolved to be the chocolate that we consume today. Attendees were encouraged to use their five senses as they sampled different fairly traded fine chocolate & cacao products.
The event continued with networking among the attendees and an ugly sweater contest.
Capping off the event, attendees were treated to a ukulele holiday sing along by the Richmond/South Delta Chapter’s own, June Lee.
Check out the chapter websites for future events and watch for chapter emails. Stay connected and be #CPAproud.
