CPABC Annual Business Case Competition 2026

Competition Format

Registration Deadline: January 23, 2026 at 1:00pm PST
First Round: January 30 – February 1, 2026 (video submission)
Final Round: March 21, 2026 (in-person presentation)

 Demonstrate and develop your business acumen by challenging yourself and your teammates to create strategic, innovative solutions to real issues facing real businesses! 

 The CPABC Annual Business Case Competition is a business strategy case competition with two competition rounds. The top 8 teams from the First Round will be invited to compete in the Final Round, followed by an evening networking and celebration reception all at the Westin Wall Centre, Vancouver Airport. 

 In addition to the top 8 teams, another 42 teams will be invited to the evening reception for an opportunity to meet and network with our reception sponsors, invited CPAs and other guests. 

Prizes: The winning team will be awarded a cash prize of $2,400. The second placed team will receive a cash prize of $1,200 and the third placed team will receive a cash prize of $600.

Teams: Teams must consist of three to four team members. All team members must be undergraduate students enrolled at the same post-secondary institution in BC or Yukon, Canada. There are no limits on the number of teams from each school. Teams of four must have at least two students who are in their first or second year of studies, and teams of three must have at least one student who is in their first or second year of studies. Undergraduate students of all disciplines are invited to participate, no prior experience is required. See the event website for detailed information.
