The CPA Education Foundation (CPAEF) has announced the 2019 scholarship awards for top students in selected preparatory courses offered by the CPA Western  School of Business for Semester 1, 2, 3 and 4. Each award is valued at $500.

For Module 5.1, Intermediate Financial Accounting, the recipients of the CPAEF ACCPAC Scholarship are Clinton Rose (Victoria) for Semester 1, Petra Sottnerova (Vancouver) for Semester 2, Lenka Cozlovschii (New Westminster) for Semester 3 and Kaihua Wu (Nanaimo) for Semester 4.

For Module 7, Audit and Assurance, the CPAEF David B. Reid Scholarships were awarded to James McIntosh (Port Moody) for Semester 1, Aaron Shonwise (Victoria) for Semester 2, Sarena Hansel (Surrey) for Semester 3 and Rayann Cross (Mission) for Semester 4.


David Chiang, CPA CA, CPABC’s vice-president member advice and programs said, “congratulations to these students on their achievements and good luck with their pursuit of the CPA designation.”

The CPA Education Foundation of BC (CPAEF) would like to thank the members of the Fraser Valley Technology Forum (forum) for their generous donation of almost $7,400.  As directed, these funds will be used to support CPA students with bursary awards that have a technology focus.

CPAEF Bursary Deadline – November 15, 2020
The CPA Education Foundation offers bursaries to students in Preparatory Courses and the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP). Students in CPA Preparatory Courses can apply for a bursary if they have completed and passed at least two courses offered by the CPA Western School of Business (CPAWSB) in the preceding year. CPA PEP students can apply for a bursary once they are registered in CPAWSB Core Module 1 or the MPAcc. program at the University of Saskatchewan.
