Key Parts of the Act

 

In addition to laying out the objectives of the organization, the first part of the Act sets out provisions for the following:

  • the functioning of the CPABC Board of Directors,
  • annual meetings and elections, and
  • the process by which the board is authorized to make bylaws. 

Other sections of the Act relate to:

  • professional accounting corporations,
  • registered firms, 
  • practice reviews, and
  • investigations and hearings.
