As was previously communicated, we had identified a candidate for the role of CPABC’s President & CEO who removed themselves from consideration due to personal reasons. As such, we have re-engaged the search process.
We are working with our search firm and plan to interview candidates in April, and anticipate offering a qualified candidate the role by the end of that month. Allowing for a transition from their current role, we have been advised to expect a likely start date sometime in July for CPABC’s new President & CEO.
Richard Rees finishes his tenure on March 31, and given the anticipated short time period for this transition, the Board felt it made sense to appoint an Interim President & CEO to work with the Executive Management Committee (EMC) over the next few months.
We recognized that the EMC is doing great work, and don't want to disrupt the current operations or initiatives underway. For that reason, we have appointed past Board Chair, Olin Anton, FCPA, FCA as the Interim President & CEO. Olin's role through this period will be to support and provide guidance to the leadership team and to act as a sounding board.
The Board has complete confidence in the staff team’s abilities to make this a smooth transition, and we would like to thank them for all they do to make CPABC successful.
